The weather’s colder, Thanksgiving is approaching, and it’s time to get into that holiday spirit, whether you like it or not. Helping you ease into that mood is a mixtape from the disco duo Poolside, consisting of Jeffrey Paradise and Filip Nikolic. Poolside is fresh off a tour promoting their Pacific Standard Time release. Pretty much the epitome of California soul and sun, the release was met with much acclaim, and catapulted them to fame. It was the essential summer soundtrack for most and captured the melodies of a California summer.

The tour just recently ended, but they have been hard at work once again. With this new “Seasons Change” mixtape, Poolside shows they can easily transition into the winter. The mixtape features tracks from Black Sabbath to Underworld. It was made while they were on the road, and in their own words,

“Seasons Change” is a new mix for crisp Autumn days as Winter approaches and the evenings get shorter and shorter. It’s a collection of melancholy tunes we put together while driving through the Northeastern States this past October to fit the moods that come with the changing of the seasons.”

While they are currently winding down from tour, they will be back in San Francisco on December 1st to DJ Nightlife at the Academy of Sciences. And if what they play sounds anything like the brilliant mixtape above, then we are sure looking forward to it.
