With the plethora of options being thrown in your face in this weekend, why not save up some money and go with a free party with a variety of DJs and artists? Make it an easy task to gather up your friends to enjoy some musical selections from members of Yeasayer to local favorites like DJ Mykill, White Mike, and DJ Dials.

Headlining the night are members from Yeasayer, and it will be interesting seeing what types of music they select. Their own music is full of electronic influences, especially in their latest album Fragrant World. Check out the video for the single “Henrietta.”

Opening for them will be U.K. duo Labyrinth Ear, comprised of members Emily J and Tom E. With music full of dreamy disco beats, I’d say you would be fan if you’re a fan of foreign films. Which film can you see this jam set to?

Also, local favorite Blackbird Blackbird will do a live set to showcase tracks of his recent release, Summer Heart. Nothing but good things have been said about local musician Mikey Maramag. His unique take on folk-electronica are reminiscent of artists like Washed Out and Caribou. Summer Heart has also garnered much praise from publications like XLR8R and Fader. Recently coming back from a tour in Europe, he will play one of his first shows sincethe release of the album.

Also supporting the main stage will be duo Virtual Boy, signed to Low End Theory head honcho Daddy Kev’s Alpha Pup Records, and Toronto bass-music artist XI.

For those that want something more upbeat, local DJs Nebakaneza, Dj Drome, White Mike, DJ Mykill, DJ Dials will be rotating around various rooms. Check out a recent remix album from DJ Mykill and Party Ben. Awesome and upbeat, these two come together with many original mixes perfect for a dance party.
