Emeryville Hosts Moderno Italiano Festival

Bringing together contemporary Italian food, design and film, the Public Market Emeryville will be hosting the Moderno Italian Festival this week.

Held on Thursday, October 4, the event will be hosted by Hot Italian. The Mangia Bevi Mercato will feature Italian food, wine and beer tastings, including Galbani cheeses, Baci chocolates, Peroni beer and various Italian wines. There will also be locally-made products made in the Italian style, such as Fra’ Mani salumi and Corto Olive Oil.

Along with food, wine and beer, there will be an Italian design installation curated by Lumens Light + Living.

At 9:00 p.m., guests will also be able to participate in a Fiat test drive. Also at 9:00 p.m., there will be an outdoor, bike-in theater set up in the parking lot, with Gianni e le Donne (The Salt of Life) being shown. The event is free to the public and begins at 6:00 p.m. Hot Italian at Public Market Emeryville is located at 5959 Shellmound Street.
