New Event Space Opens, Special Dinner Planned for Piperade Anniversary

Executive Chef Gerald Hirigoyen of Piperade is celebrating the restaurant’s upcoming 10th anniversary with the launch of a brand new adjoining event space along with a wine pairing dinner.

Lauburu is a 1,000 square foot full private venue now open adjacent to the Battery Street restaurant. The space is suited for social or business gatherings, with room for up to 30 seated or 45 standing guests. Menus, libations and service can be personalized for each event.

Hirigoyen said he’s “long sought the opportunity to serve the specialized dining and entertainment needs of my customers.”

The restaurant is also hosting a special dinner to celebrate 10 years. On Thursday, September 13, Hirigoyen, working closely with master sommelier Emmanuel Kemiji, will be be offering a five course prix-fixe menu paired with wines from Clos Pissarra, a winery the pair opened in the Priorat region of Catalunya, Spain.

The meal is $150 per person, excluding tax and gratuity, and seating will be family style.
