Now Open: The Fizzary

This month, local botanical soda maker Taylor’s Tonics opened their new flagship retail store at 2949 Mission Street. Conveniently located just a few steps away from Mission Pie‘s corner at 25th Street. After all, soda pop makes a nice accompaniment to a slice of pie.

In addition to Taylor’s own bottled beverages, the shop stocks over 800 unique types of sodas from around the world, and about a dozen nostalgic candies like saltwater taffy, Whirly Pops jumbo swirl lollipops, candy sticks, Necco wafers, etc. Individual soda bottles cost $2, 4 packs for $6, 12 packs for $16, and $30 for a case.

But don’t mistake The Fizzary for just a simple grocery store. A large music venue space will soon open to the public. And future plans include many exciting additions, like a counter with several sodas on tap, a beverage museum, and a craft beverage incubator space for home brewmasters who want to make their own brand of sodas. The owners hope to launch a Kickstarter campaign to fund those projects. Add your name to their mailing list to keep updated about future developments.

The store is open Monday thru Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm. Closed Sundays.
