The Lunch Box SF Closes on Friday

One year old The Lunch Box SF is closing this Friday, August 10, 2012.

Since August 2011, SoMa residents who work or live near 246 Ritch Street have enjoyed easy access to a handful of food trucks like the Rib Whip, Curry Up Now, and a few other trucks who parked in this vacant lot, dubbed The Lunch Box SF. Open weekdays from 11 am to 2 pm, with convenient bench dining tables.

Unfortunately, the landlord has decided to repurpose the property. So with only a few days left before closure, a stellar selection of food trucks are scheduled one last time, to say good bye to their loyal customers at this lot.

Today Wednesday, the hungry lunch crowd were munching on lobster rolls from Sam’s Chowdermobile and falafels from the Sunrise Deli truck. Tomorrow, the Thursday line up features many other favorites like The Chairman Truck, Irish Eritrean food truck EireTrea, and newcomer The Dosa Republic.
