Grab a Drink with SF Station

I am not a professional bartender. In fact, even though I write about food, I have no professional experience in a kitchen or behind a bar. But that hasn’t stopped my co-workers and I from volunteering as guest bartenders at Bottle Cap this week.

On Tuesday, July 31, some of my comrades and I will be guest bartenders at Bottle Cap in North Beach from 6-8 p.m. A few caveats: we are not professionals but we promise to have a good time and make the best drinks we can. The featured cocktail of the evening: a Mojito with a San Francisco twist (made with Matusalem Platino Rum). Normally $10, it will be $5 all night long. Plus, all tips from the event will benefit Larkin Street Youth.

The Happy Hour menu at Bottle Cap will be available until 7:00 p.m. featuring bar bites like fried chicken thighs, apple cider ribs and fish and rock shrimp tostadas. There will also be live music in the bar starting at 7:00 p.m.

So if you’ve ever wanted to meet some of the writers and editors at SF Station and enjoy a great cocktail (we hope!) and restaurant in North Beach, stop in at Bottle Cap and say hi.

Bottle Cap is located at 1707 Powell Street.
