Storytelling is perhaps the most distinguishing characteristic of humanity, and the story of what went wrong between erstwhile infatuated lovers is one that has been told again and again in myths, folktales, literature and on-screen in film and television.

Whether you have an eye towards upholding this long tradition or have been dying to air your dirty laundry in public, the folks over at Fireside Storytelling have precipitated your desire for redress.

The latest theme in their ongoing storytelling series is exes; in an upcoming gathering, six storytellers will each impart real-life 10-minute anecdotes explaining the how and why of their estrangement.

Exes and Whys takes place Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 8 p.m. at The Jellyfish Gallery.  Admission is $10.
