Diego’s Umbrella Guide to San Francisco

Diego’s Umbrella is firing up the gypsy caravan again. The band just released its fourth album, Proper Cowboy—a fusion of Eastern European influences, cowboy tunes and guitar rock—before leaving on a month-long national tour.

When they return, look for vocalist Tyson Maulhardt in Cole Valley with a shot of Fernet, on the dance floor at Beauty Bar or hanging out after hours in the Polk Gulch. Maulhardt shares more in our latest Guide to San Francisco.

Favorite SF neighborhood outside of the one you live/rehearse in now: Cole Valley.  Mostly for the breakfast at Zazie, the morning shot of Fernet and ping pong at Finnegan’s Wake and a pastry at La Boulange.
