Beer and waffles…talk about a good start to the weekend! This Friday, July 13, join Stella Artois in celebrating Belgian National Day with the free “Taste of Belgium” festival at the Fort Mason Herbst Pavilion.

National Day, celebrated on July 21, “commemorates the day on which Leopold I took the constitutional oath as the first King of Belgium, on July 21, 1831.” The “Taste of Belgium” event will include Belgian food, beer and music. Guests will have a chance to pick up Belgian waffles from Golden Waffle food truck and watch a mussel throw down featuring Bay Area chefs, including Chefs Francis Hogan and Josh Lucas from Blue Stem Brasserie. Beer from Stella Artois, Hoegaarden and Leffe will also be for sale.
