Preview: Push The Feeling

Although it may not seem like it, San Francisco’s summer is now here and with it comes a wide-array of free parties. This Friday, July 13th, Underground SF welcomes Bobby Browser, Chautauqua, and residents YR SKULL and epicsauce DJs for a night of disco tunes and synth-boogie jams.

Local producer Bobby Browser (aka André Ferreira) has been praised by publications such as XLR8R and Juno for his 12″ recently dropped on 100% Silk Records.

“Bowser pilots a hypnotic, synth-driven escapade here, dolloping layers of new-new age pads and celestial melodies on top of a solidly marching disco beat. The almost six-minute endeavor flows with a carefree ease, rendering it both a good theme for forgetting your worries and something that might inspire you to sweat it all out on the floor.” -XLR8R

His live dance-friendly sets are full of boogie, disco and acid-infused house tracks, and you can get a taste of his own tracks here.

Next up is Chautauqua, comprising local Voltaire Records’ Hotthobo (Randy Ellis) and Loose Shus (Dave Luzius). If you liked the soundtrack to the film Drive featuring Chromatics and Kavinsky, then there’s no reason why you shouldn’t give this local duo a listen.

This party is free with Facebook RSVP. The event is Friday July 13th at Underground SF from 9 p.m. – 2 a.m.
