Last Saturday, Icee Hot brought out Robert Hood to headline their monthly at Public Works. Touring hasn’t been the only thing on Hood’s plate, as the techno forefather recently announced the release of his third LP in the Nighttime World series for September.

Entitled Motor: Nighttime World 3, this album conceptualizes the condition of Detroit as inspired by Julien Temple’s 2010 documentary, Requiem for Detroit? Similar to the film, Hood intends to draw attention to the social and economic turmoil so that the city’s improvement can become a focus for its inhabitants and neighbors.

Keep a lookout for Motor: Nighttime World 3 on Music Man Records this September 17.
