Preview: Fourth of July Pool Jam
Next Wednesday, July 4, the promoters and DJs behind Oakland-based Direct to Earth are putting on a fundraiser to benefit the Lincoln Child Center. Held in Piedmont at the Grey Gables Estate, this intimate event will include over 15 local DJs and two special guests.
Guest DJs Dustin Zahn from Minneapolis and Raiz from LA have established themselves in their respective towns and further as techno DJ and producers. Zahn has been DJing since 1998 and his work has been appearing on labels such as Drumcode and Radioslave’s Rekids.
The Raiz brothers developed a similar sound as a result of their diverse musical background, including influence from electro, freestyle, New Wave and Krautrock. They are known for their parties as the techno event producers, Droid Behavior, with their third partner, Drumcell.
Together, Dustin Zahn and Raiz will complement each other as headliners with sets that will likely venture in between gritty and melodic sounds to moody atmospheres.
In addition, there will be three stages, a pool, multiple bars, and tanning space for a proper July Fourth pool party. A full list of the DJs involved and tickets can be purchased here. Entry is only available for presale ticket holders.
