Nombe is getting into the summer spirit by introducing the first of many beer garden events at the nearby Wix Lounge.

The event on Friday, June 29 runs from 5-8 p.m. and features plenty of beer and great Japanese food. For $60, guests can enjoy three pints of beer (choice of Kirin, Sapporo or Asahi on draft and bottled beers as well) plus plenty of Nombe’s izakaya fare including hand-rolled sushi, edamame hummus, oysters on the half shell, grilled Kurobuta pork belly, Nombe chicken wings and deep-fried baby potatoes.

The best part may be the rooftop setting just a block away from Nombe. The Wix Lounge is located in the US Bank building at the corner of 22nd and Mission and offers seating along with magnificent views of San Francisco.

A portion of the night’s proceeds will benefit La Cocina, San Francisco’s non-profit incubator program that supports low-income edible enterprises.
