Recipe: Peach Fuzzies

This week marks the Summer Solstice–the longest day of the year–and there’s so many reasons to celebrate. Get into the festive spirit with a fresh and easy cocktail recipe that’s sure to make you smile. The Peach Fuzzy is a great daytime drink with a sweet and inviting name to match it’s lovable flavor. But beware, this summertime sipper with a touch of tartness can pack an unexpected punch. Make sure you share some with your friends and don’t be fooled by it’s endearing drinkability–the fuzz will have you feeling a buzz in no time.

In order to mix up this colorful creation, all you’ll need is a can of slightly-thawed frozen pink lemonade concentrate, a cup and a half of vodka, 3/4 cup of water, 4 cups of peeled and cubed fresh peaches (preferably from Georgia), and some crushed ice. Oh, and don’t forget the blender. You’ll want to start by processing all of the ingredients, minus the ice, until they are smoothed by the blender, then begin adding the ice at the very end, but don’t allow it to get too crushed. Pour the concoction into a pitcher and garnish glasses with a small slice of peach and a sprig of mint. Congratulations, you now have a ridiculously refreshing homemade beverage and some very happy house-guests.

Happy summer, everybody!
