OTG Debuts in Alameda, Fills Weekends

Last Saturday morning, hundreds of food truck fans gathered on a parking lot of Alameda South Shore Center (formerly, Alameda Towne Centre) for the debut of Off the Grid Alameda.

While new food truck stops like the SoMa StrEat Food Park and Mission Dispatch are grabbing the attention of locals in the city, OTG’s expansion plans has sought for fertile grounds in the East Bay. OTG Alameda is scheduled to feature a rotating selection of 8 to 10 food trucks, every Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm. But increased demand has organizers scrambling to add more food trucks for next weekend’s event. The huge crowd that showed up last Saturday, devoured every bit of food from every truck early in the day. So afternoon customers were welcomed by sold out signs. Seems like this new food truck stop is off to a good start.

In related news, OTG has added Sundays to the McCoppin street location. McCoppin Hub is now OTG’s designated food truck brunch spot in SF, with both Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 3:30 pm. Evening hours scheduled only on the first weekend of the month.
