Berkeley’s FIVE Restaurant Offering Value-Oriented Lunch

Modern American Bistro FIVE Restaurant in Downtown Berkeley is offering up a new “FIVE and Dine” lunch special aimed at convenience and value for customers.

Executive Chef Banks White and his team have concocted a “TV dinner tray,” which will offer up four smaller bites and a drink for $15. “The inspiration behind the new “FIVE and Dine” lunch is to encourage people to take a break and reconnect with their colleagues or friends over lunch,” said Chef White. “We wanted to provide a lunch option that is delicious and fast at the same time, while bringing people back together.”

The “FIVE and Dine” lunch menu will change weekly but always include fresh, seasonal, local ingredients. The weekly menu is posted on Monday morning on FIVE’s Facebook page.

In addition, FIVE has brought on Patrice Brault as the restaurant’s new Food & Beverage Director.  Overseeing the restaurant, bar program, and banquets, Brault will work closely with Chef White.  For the past 15 years, Brault has held prestigious restaurant management positions in five-star hotels from Paris to San Francisco.

FIVE Restaurant is located at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza (2086 Allston Way) in Downtown Berkeley and has been selected as a Michelin Guide – Bib Gourmand the past three years. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
