New to the SoMa: 201 Taqueria

There’s a new taqueria in town and – surprise – it isn’t in the Mission District (though, technically it is located on Mission Street). The folks behind Bistro Burger have just opened up 201 Taqueria downtown in the SoMa. Just in time for Cinco de Mayo!

The new Mexican eatery shares space with Bistro Burger and will be offering the usual fare: tacos, nachos, quesdillas, etc. On the plus side, they make all their sauces and dips in-house and offer home-made tortilla chips. However, since the place is closed on weekends and closes at 7pm, like many other restaurants in the FiDi, 201 Taqueria obviously caters to the downtown lunch crowds.

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, from now until May 4th, 201 Taqueria will be offering a choice of taco, fresh chips & house-made pico de gallo salsa and a large soft drink, for $5.
