The Macallan – emphasis on the “the” – is a brand of single-malt Scotch whiskey that was founded in 1824. The whiskey giant is coming to the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco for a series of free tastings in May; registration is now open and spots are filling up fast.

The Macallan is the second biggest selling single malt by volume (behind Glenlivet).  They will be sampling a variety of whiskeys at the San Francisco event, held May 8 through May 11. Tastings are free but of course 21 and over.
