More Beer for the Mission

There’s going to be (yet) another destination for beer lover’s in the Mission. Say hello to Cervezeria de MateVeza.

Opening this Saturday, April 7, the new brewery is “dedicated to providing locally-sourced, Argentinian-style cuisine paired with creative artisanal beers.” Certified as beer sommeliers (I didn’t even know there was such a thing), owners Jim Woods and Matt Coelho will be serving up craft beers, including MateVeza, a brewed on-site special yerba mate beer created by Woods, and El Porteño empanadas.

Located near the Castro side of the 18th Street corridor, it’ll be another venue to which thirsty denizens of Dolores Park can flock. And with a busy Easter holiday ahead, Cervezeria de MateVeza’s opening weekend will sure to be a busy one.
