New Video: CAKE "The Winter"
When it came around to making a new music video, CAKE decided to leave it in the hands of their fans. Over 171 participants ranging in ages 5 to 55 from 165 different cities in 20 countries on 5 continents helped to make the group’s new video for “The Winter.”
CAKE has released a brand new fan made video for their song “The Winter” from their critically acclaimed 2011 album Showroom of Compassion.
The project began last year when director and friend of the group Tracy Rowland presented the group with the idea of letting fans submit videos of themselves singing along with the song. Over 200 fans submitted videos and in the end over 171 participants ranging in ages 5 to 55 from 165 different cities in 20 countries on 5 continents helped to make the new video.
CAKE will play the Fox Theater on April 28th at a benefit concert for Oakland’s Children’s Hospital & Research Center.
