Opening: The Mission Bowling Club

While old mainstay Serra Bowl in Daly City is closing its doors after 51 years, there seems to be a new set of bowling alleys cropping up in San Francisco. First there was Lucky Strike then there’s the rumored Giant Value development and now there is the Mission Bowling Club.

Located on 17th Street at South Van Ness, this new alley is set to to open on Monday, March 19 with a full opening on the 26th. Along with six-lanes and an outdoor patio, the menu features gourmet updates on regular bowling alley classics like corn dogs and burgers and includes surprising items like a spring roll and blackened catfish.

According to Mission Local, “For the first week, the hours will be 6-11 p.m., [owner Sommer] Peterson said. Then, the bowling club will expand to regular hours on Monday, March 26: Monday through Friday, open 3-11 p.m. (21-and-over), Saturday noon-midnight (all ages noon to 7 p.m., 21-and-over 7 p.m.-midnight), and Sunday noon-11 p.m. (all ages noon to 7 p.m., 21-and-over 7 p.m.-11 p.m.).”
