Theater Premiers: Wish You Were Here, Furious & Comedy SuperPAC

This week’s top performances include a dance premier at The Garage, an improv show at the Alcove Theater, a some stand up act Hemlock.

This Friday, RAW (Resident Artist Workshop) presents Wish You Were Here, a new dance work by Bay Area choreographers Aura Fischbeck, Gretchen Garnett and Leigh Riley. The choreographers are all residents of The Garage, where the contemporary piece will be performed.

Furious, an EndGames Improv show, opens this Friday at the Alcove Theater. Six live performers will perform two long-form improv sets, themed, “Let’s Sweat the Small Stuff”, focusing on life’s little (yet very large) frustrations.

This Monday, renowned local comedians, W. Kamau Bell & Nato Green present, Comedy SuperPAC, a new weekly stand-up show at the Hemlock Tavern. Like any good SuperPAC, the mission is to produce good comedy, raise good money, and then donate that money (or at least a portion of it) to a cause. For now, that cause will be the Applied Research Center.
