Mission Night Market at Ken Ken Ramen

The first Mission Night Market hosted by Ken Ken Ramen happens this weekend, Thursday to Saturday, March 8-10, from 6 pm to 11 pm or later.

Ken Ken’s evening bazaar will be held inside their noodle factory space at 3376 18th Street, formerly the Hung Tu Noodle Company, right next to the restaurant. According to their blog, this small event will feature a wide variety of interesting vendors and talented artists, hawking goods like vintage clothing, custom jewelry, furniture, Japanese desserts and much more. Any vendors who want to participate in future events, should contact them by email. The organizers were inspired by their love of wild and crazy Asian Night Markets, found in Japan and many other Asian countries.

Most Mission area retailers close by 6 or 8 pm, so this night event is a godsend for residents who like to go shopping. I suggest stopping by the restaurant to order a boba milk tea from the Boba Guys, before heading into the market. And if the night gets chilly, warm up with a hot bowl of ramen.
