Literary Events: The End of Money, Mumbai Noir & Any Day Now

This week’s best literary events include authors David Wolman, and Terry Bisson, and a compilation by Akashic Books.

This Thursday, David Wolman presents The End of Money at The Booksmith. In the book, Wolman, a contributing editor at Wired, takes a critical look at cash-money and delves into the problems that stem out of circulating physical money.

Akashic Books presents Mumbai Noir, next Tuesday at Modern Times. The new release is a dark, gritty collection of short stories from 14 different authors, perfect for all mystery and noir buffs out there.

Also on Tuesday, and also at The Booksmith, Terry Bisson presents her new novel, Any Day Now. In her latest, the award-winning author offers a coming of age story set in a reimagined post-Vietnam War America — “not exactly science fiction, but not exactly not.”
