The trendy Tenderloin drink scene may just get a another boost. Neighborhood sources have tipped us off that there seems to be a few key new bar openings around the Polk Street corridor.

Playland (1351 Polk St) is a new bar replacing Kimo’s, the storied former local music dive on Polk and Pine street that closed last year.

Also, rumor has it that another Lefty O’Doul’s location is opening on the opposite side of the street at a liquor store that got shut down.

And a few doors up Polk (mid-way between Pine and California)…it seems that Koko’s Cocktails will indeed be reopening after it was shuttered at 1060 Geary St. last July.

What else will the rumor mill churn up…?
