Best of Beer Week: Three Ring Circus

The veritable crown jewel of SF Beer Week is tomorrow night’s Three Ring Circus Brewer’s Dinner & Sideshow (450 Post Street #3), and tickets are still available. Billed as an ‘homage to the spirit of the circus,’ this can’t-miss festival of frivolity will feature 12 rare and unusual beers paired with 9 delectable dishes for your dining pleasure.

Sean Z. Paxton, also known as the Homebrew Chef, has concocted a special menu of peerless decadence to accompany some of the most exclusive beers in the world, provided by Speakeasy, Shmaltz Brewing Company and Ninkasi Brewing Company. Taking place in San Francisco’s historic Elks Lodge, the setting will be ideal for the array of circus performers set to dazzle the crowd as diners enjoy a bevy of fine food and drinks lining the tables. The extravaganza begins at 6PM on Wednesday evening and continues for a full 4 hours of bedazzling spectacles and suds.

Check out the full menu and order tickets by clicking here. Don’t delay: seats are limited, and you certainly don’t want to miss out on the most elaborate romp that Beer Week has to offer. Personally, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I missed out on the ground elk and duck heart slider, rendered in dry aged beef fat. Yes, you read that correctly. This is the meal against which all other meals will be measured, and it’s one night only.
