Five Things You Should Know About Two Sheds

John and Cailtin Gutenberger have been kicking around Sacramento playing solid, seamless and approachable soft rock since 2003. Soft rock? Yes, but this is meant in the best way possible.

John and Cailtin Gutenberger have been kicking around Sacramento playing solid, seamless and approachable soft rock since 2003. Soft rock? Yes, but this is meant in the best way possible. Forget the implications of alto sax solos and synthesized string arrangements gently swooping from chorus back to verse. Two Sheds lay a gentle bed of lush simplicity and gracefulness lead by the rich voice and guitar-work of Caitlin Gutenberger and kept on pace by her husband / bass-player John. When asked to list 5 things they wanted people to know about the band as they head to the city to play Amnesia next week, they responded with the following list:

1. This will be Two Sheds’ third show at Amnesia. Johnny has had actual amnesia twice.

2. Caitlin is allergic to Gluten. Buy her a whiskey, not a beer.

3. John was born with 11 fingers and 11 toes. Ask his parents. It’s true.

4. Two Sheds has played more shows with Sands than any other band. They are our oldest and dearest band friends.

5. Two Sheds has not moved to LA….yet.

BTW, If you recognize Caitlin’s voice it is because she has been sitting in with Release The Sunbird, the new project from Rogue Wave front man Zach Rogue.

Two Sheds play with Sands at Amnesia Friday, January 27. This is an early show; doors are at 6pm and the cover is $5-$7.
