Another Food Truck Spot for Downtown Lunch Crowd

Last week, crowds of hungry office workers welcomed the debut of a new temporary Off the Grid truck stop on 2nd street, near Folsom. Only two food trucks are parked each weekday. Featuring a different pair of trucks each time, so essentially you get 10 trucks per week (see schedule below). This is the second temporary OTG mini spot, the other one is located at the Proxy Development on Octavia street, on the open space next to Smitten Ice Cream.

This food truck stop is scheduled for 5 months. While the building owners of 303 Second Street are constructing a new expanded retail space area, and renovating the plaza in front of the building. The construction work had displaced 2 food vendors: Snack Depot and Tully’s Coffee. So the food trucks will serve as a replacement until construction is completed.

The truck’s schedule: Mon-Fri 11am – 2pm

Mondays: Bacon Bacon Truck & The Chairman

Tuesdays: Koja Kitchen & Liba Falafel

Wednesdays: Doc’s of the Bay & Phat Thai

Thursdays: Kasa Indian Truck & Fins on the Hoof

Fridays: Arki Truck & Smokin’ Warehouse BBQ
