Michael Mina to Celebrate 20th Anniversary with Extravagant Bash

It is rather amazing that chef Michael Mina helped to open Aqua 20 years ago considering he is just 42 years old. Now, to celebrate the anniversary, he and some of his distinguished fellow chefs are throwing a bash with a pretty amazing lineup on tap.

The actual anniversary is on October 9. And the Anniversary Tribute Dinner this Sunday at the former space for Aqua (which is now his eponymous Michael Mina) in the Financial District includes a six course meal served up by many local chefs with a connection to Mina.

The line-up includes George Morrone, the founding chef at Aqua, Paul Piscopo, current chef at Trace, Bruce Hill of Picco and Zero Zero, Jardinière’s Traci Des Jardins, Ron Siegel with the Dining Room at the Ritz Carlton and Frances’ Melissa Perello.

Sounds pretty amazing right? The only thing is you may have to take out a small loan to enjoy the event. Tickets are $500 apiece although it does support a great cause (Ronnie Lott’s All Stars Helping Hands).

Call the restaurant at (415) 397-9222 for more information.
