Spruce Burger – Top 10 in the Country

This past spring, I reminisced about my favorite burger in all of San Francisco: the Spruce Burger. Now this cherished chunk of beef is being honored as one of the Top 25 Best Hamburgers in the Country!

The same wildly popular Revolting Blog that brought you the undisputed list of the nation’s best pizza this summer, has returned with a highly controversial collection of the best burger spots from across the land. A number of Bay Area favorites are featured in the list, including Pearl’s Deluxe Hamburgers in the Tenderloin, 900 Grayson in Berkeley, and the unique Squeeze Inn all the way out in Sacramento. But the leader of the pack is Spruce–ranked seventh in the country, thanks to it’s high quality ingredients and home-made fixings. Umami also makes an appearance in the top ten, and after this weekend we’ll be proud to call their irresistible hamburgers part of the Bay Area burger scene.

Check out the full list here, and remember: if you don’t feel like trekking many miles for a delicious meal, you can always make a fantastic burger in your very own kitchen….
