Apple Unveils iPhone 4S
In a somewhat disappointing move, Apple unveiled its latest smartphone, the iPhone 4S, at an event at the company’s Cupertino headquarters on Tuesday.
Perhaps the most disappointing part for many Apple fans: the fact that there was no word on an iPhone 5.
But not everyone is disappointed as the newest model is faster, has a better camera and allows users to sync content without a computer.
The new device is also considered a “world phone,” which means that Verizon iPhones will be useable overseas, as AT&T iPhones already are.
The new phone will come in black or white, cost $199 for a 16 gigabyte-version, $299 for 32 GB and $399 for 64GB – all with a two-year service contract requirement.
Pre-orders begin this Friday with availability scheduled for October 14.
