Party in the Fish Tank

The Thursday nightlife just got a lot better.  This Thursday, Sept 29, the California Academy of Sciences trumps the entertainment world. Imagine special musical performances, discovering the latest innovations from Microsoft, drinking fine cocktails,  glowing aquarium displays, and seeing the museum’s greatest exhibits all for a $12 cover.

The Academy of Sciences features Thursday night entertainment every week, but this week is the Treasure Island Pre-Party theme. It’s celebrating the Treasure Island Music Festival happening Oct. 15 and 16.  Swede Jens Lekman is one of the special live performances playing at 8:30.

Besides good music, Microsoft representatives will be around, showing off the latest of the technology world. The company’s ground and space-based telescopes will be featured in a Planetarium show.

The event lasts from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. offering a unique experience to anyone’s California Academy of Sciences visit, for a fraction of the cost. It’s Thursday, find your thirst for smooth drinks and good times. Travel to Golden Gate Park and prepare for a classy night at the Academy.
