Nearly a year after releasing his solo debut Down There,  Avey Tare will embark on a winter headlining tour.

After a summer of touring with the reunited Animal Collective, the frontman is stepping out on the road with a slew of dates around the country including a stop in Oakland at The New Parish on December 11th. He will also play the Catalyst Atrium in Santa Cruz on December 10th.

Just last week Tare surprised many in the indie music community when he released an animated video for the song “Oliver Twist.” The video is the first from Down There, which was released in October of last year.
