Galleries: Pancakes & Booze, Capsule & More

This week, the galleries scene is hopping with the Pancakes & Booze Art Party, a new show at Steven Wolf, and the annual Capsule design festival in Hayes Valley.

The SF edition of LA’s famous underground art party, The Pancakes & Booze Art Show will hit the Artist Alley Gallery with a two night run starting this Friday. The festivities will include artwork by over 50 local, emerging artists, live body painting, audio and visual performances and, of course, an all-you-can-eat pancake bar — all for $5.

Catch SF native, artist Matt Borruso, at the opening reception for his new show, The Hermit’s Revenge Fantasy, this Saturday at Steven Wolf Fine Art. Through his vibrant work, Borruso makes bold statements on the advertising and entertainment industries.

On Sunday, spend the day wandering the Capsule Urban Air Market free!– at Hayes Green. The four-block span will be freshly stocked with a unique collection of homemade, vintage, recycled and refurbished goods from 130 independent designers. Think of it like Etsy — with free shipping.
