True Stories Lounge At the Make-Out Room

If you’re still making plans for tonight, head over to the Mission to check out a bunch of essayists, journalists and writers spilling their guts on stage with host Evelyn Nieves.

The evening is going to be full of super high-profile ink-slingers performing readings on a number of topics of ultimate importance to San Franciscans like Burning Man and the city itself, but a few will also touch on serious issues including WWI and the U.S.-Mexico border.

Evenlyn Nieves previously worked for the Washington Post and was the San Francisco  Bureau Chief of the New York Times. She’ll join a list of impressive writers including essayist Joyce Maynard, expert “Burner” and San Francisco Bay Guardian city editor Steven T. Jones and a handful of other cool, influential people.

You can purchase tickets online and check out the list of people reading here. The event starts at 6:30pm. Check out the Make-Out Room site for more details.
