Theater: Why We Have a Body, BATS Improv Fest & Cymbeline

From improv to Shakespeare, this week, the stage is set for comedy, comedy and more comedy. We say — bring on the laughs.

This Wednesday, find a comfy seat at the Magic Theatre for the return of Why We Have a Body, the story of Lili, a lesbian P.I. who stalks men cheating on their wives. Intrigued? We are, too.

If improv’s more your scene, head out to Fort Mason this Friday and Saturday for the closing weekend of BATS Summer Improv Festival. On Friday, take an out-of-this-world ride with “Warp Speed: An Improvised (Star) Trek“, or get shaken (not stirred) at Saturday’s show, “Improvised Bond“.

For something a little more family oriented (not to mention, free), head to the Presidio Parade Ground starting on Sunday for the 9-show run of Shakespeare in the Park: Cymbeline.
