Daniel Patterson Makes Summer Soup

Have you ever wondered what a well-renowned chef cooks while he or she is at home?  A recent “My Go-To” video from Chow takes us into a day in the life of Daniel Patterson, chef/owner of Coi in San Francisco.

Patterson recently changed the days of operation for the two-star Michelin restaurant, citing that he wanted to spend more time with his wife and two children. That was wildly evident in the video, as his son, Julian , helped out dad in preparing a cold eggplant soup.

Patterson made this look way too easy. But it also shows that he is like any normal average Joe. He goes to the market to find some produce that he thinks might work well together and develops a meal from that. And besides being an awesome chef, he seems to be a pretty good dad to boot.
