Pre-season Football Says Hello to Friday Night

The NFL’s first pre-season power ranking list is out and the San Francisco 49ers rank 26th. That’s 26th out of 32 teams. Yeah, the stats aren’t looking too good,  but the pre-season games beginning this weekend give you an excuse to toast to the home team. 

On Friday, the 49ers travel to the Superdome to face the New Orleans Saints (ranked 4th). With a 5pm start time, SF Friday night bars will deliver a solid social scene.

Union Square Sports Bar- The official bar of the “Niners Nation” fan club. There are 22 TV’s and 23 beers on tap. Happy hour is Monday-Friday from 4-7pm It’s located one block from Union Square on O’Farrell Street.

The Bus Stop– On 1901 Union Street, it’s the Cow Hollow haven for football viewing.

Zeke’s Bar-Visit for a 4-6pm happy hour for $2.50 selected brews, well drinks and house wine specials. Satisfy your taste buds and try their homemade chips or a Coast Cola. It’s located in SOMA at 600 Third Street.

The Greens Sports Bar– It’s the man cave on Union and Polk Street. The bar is known for a true Sunday game-day experience. Try it out on a Friday for cheap beer specials and HD vision– sheer class.

Final Final– Rumor has it Joe DiMaggio stopped in every once in a while. It’s a Niner’s Nation favorite, located in the Marina District. Get there early because happy hour ends at 4pm.

It’s time to put on that cherry red Willis jersey, grab a brew and get ready for five hearty months of football bliss.
