The initial lineup for this year’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass was announced this morning on the festival’s official website.

This year the 3-day event runs from Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 2 in Golden Gate Park, completely free of charge. It’s your chance to check out acts from all across the board, including Broken Social Scene, Thurston Moore, Bright Eyes, MC Hammer (in a special Children’s Program the Thursday before), Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miller, Robert Plant & The Band of Joy, Bela Fleck, and more.
