Outside Lands Summer Pairing IV

The fourth and final event in the Outside Lands Summer Pairing Series is taking place this Sunday from 3-6PM in the heart of North Berkeley’s “Gourmet Ghetto.” You might remember the previous summer pairing up in Napa Valley a few weeks back–a truly raucous affair. But if you missed it, this weekend is your chance to get in on some of the fun and you’ll only have to travel a few miles across the Bay Bridge to be a part of the action.

The menu this time around is all about wine and cheese. For the modest price of 30$ a person (gratuity included) you’ll get to enjoy insanely comforting grilled cheese sandwiches provided by San Francisco’s own American Grilled Cheese Kitchen (1 S Park Ave). These aren’t your everyday sandwiches, either. We’re talking about generous amounts of Cheddar, Jack and Havarti cheeses melted atop freshly baked sourdough, topped with vine-ripened tomatoes and applewood smoked bacon. You can wash that all down with AGC Kitchen’s robust and full-flavored tomato soup, served in 2 ounce shot glasses.

For something a little stronger, Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant is providing a comprehensive tasting of their extensive Rosé Collection. And it’s all going down–appropriately enough–on Vine street, at the outdoor patio of the Vintage Berkeley Wine Shop (2113 Vine Street)

The 21+ event is limited to 75 people, so get after it: call (510) 665-8600 for tickets, or visit this site for more info. And don’t forget SF, Outside Lands…less than 10 days away!!! Check out this link to view the recently-released schedule of artists.
