Slim’s to Host Pop-Up Dinners

Most music venues in San Francisco offer very little in the way of food options, meaning that you’re cramming your face at a nearby restaurant before catching a show.

But Slim’s is now jumping into the pop-up restaurant business, opening its doors on Monday nights (from 5:30pm – 10pm) to a rotating group of chefs and eating establishments.

SFoodie reports that it all begins on Monday, August 1 as the Jetset Chef will be offering a wide-ranging menu that includes braised lamb cheek, scallop crudo and pork short ribs among other things.

The following two Mondays, Cathead’s BBQ (Aug. 8) and Radio Africa Kitchen (Aug. 15) will be taking to the kitchen.

The blog notes that it’s been a tough year business-wise for Slim’s “after their liquor license was suspended for 10 days in March,” as they were forced to change the type of bands they booked.
