The first quarterly Lower Polk Art Walk begins tomorrow complete with music, performances, food, drinks and, of course, lots of art.

This event combines creativity and community in a meaningful way by celebrating the efforts of the Lower Polk Neighbors and MOEWD (Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development). Their insistence on sprucing up the streets in their neighborhood resulted in the opening of new galleries and community murals which were painted with help from Larkin Street Youth Services.

The event begins tomorrow evening and will have seven galleries and eight venues all featuring art as well as community mural openings where some of the artists will be present.
