In addition to three days of music featuring Arcade Fire, Muse, the Black Keys, and many more, the folks behind Outside Lands are stretching the festival’s reach with a series of night shows at local venues.

The Independent will play host intimate performances by the Arctic Monkeys and New Orleans funk legends the Original Meters, who will make another rare live performance at the festival. A special Outside Lands edition of Nightlife at the California Academy of Sciences will feature Best Coast (pictured above) and Eskmo, and local folkies Vetiver will be at the rickshaw Stop on Friday, August 12th.
