SF Muni Selects Interim Chief

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority has unanimously approved Debra Johnson as acting Executive Director,  as she is set to take Nathaniel Ford’s place when he leaves the agency on Thursday.

Johnson currently serves as director of administration, taxis and accessible services.

Ford announced his resignation earlier this month, with two and a half years left on his contract. He has received a severance package worth approximately $380,000.

Following Ford’s announcement, Muni Deputy Executive Carter Rohan announced that he was also resigning, effective July 23.

The search is still ongoing for a permanent replacement to head the transit agency and Johnson said she remains unsure whether she wants to be included as part of the search.
