Guy Fieri to Open First Restaurant in East Bay

You may be sick of him with his multiple TV shows on the Food Network, new cookbook and hosting duties on NBC’s “Minute to Win It.” But East Bay residents will be seeing more of Guy Fieri in the near future.

According to the San Francisco Business Times, a Johnny Garlic’s outlet is headed for Dublin later this summer.

The franchise already has restaurants in Windsor, Roseville and Santa Rosa. And this will likely be the first, but not the last foray into the East Bay.

“We’re looking at trying to build out more of the East Bay,” Brett Hutchison, chief operating officer for Fieri’s restaurant chains told the Times. “There’s a good population and good income and real strong supporters of Guy here.”

But why stop there. Fieri’s other restaurant venture, Tex Wasabi in Santa Rosa, is doing so well that there are also plans to expand that growing franchise as well.
