Not Your Usual Cinco de Mayo

Some of San Francisco’s best Mexican restaurants and food vendors are coming together to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in their own special fashion.

The Hecho En San Francisco event started as an idea from Tacolicious, a restaurant located in the Marina which also frequently makes stops at the Ferry Building Farmers’ Market.

The idea was to hold an unique event to celebrate San Francisco’s rich Mexican heritage, while also benefiting CUESA (the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture) and La Cocina, an organization which helps low-income food entrepreneurs.

So, for $50, you will be able to enjoy some of the best Meixcan food and drinks till your heart’s content.

Along with Tacolicious, other restaurants include Nopalito, Mijita and La Palma Mexicatessen among others. Beer, wine and tequila cocktails will also be available.

Hecho En San Francisco will be held at the Ferry Building from 5:30-8:30.
