Mother’s Day Brunch Ideas

When I think of Mother’s Day, I think of family gathering over brunch and being surrounded by loved ones. And since San Francisco offers some of the best brunches in the Bay Area, it’s the perfect chance to see what restaurants are offering specials this Sunday.

The main focus is on San Francisco and restaurants that are offering some type of special menu for Mother’s Day. But there are dining establishments around the Bay Area that will be open for both brunch and dinner on Mother’s Day. Here’s a look at a few that are offering specials:

Foreign Cinema: Already known for having one of the better brunches in town, the Mission restaurant is offering a $45 special brunch menu, with options in each course.

Spruce: Offering a three-course chef’s tasting menu for $65 per person.

Park Chalet: Offering a “Champagne Recovery Brunch Buffet” for $25 per person, which includes bottomless champagne.

RN74: Offering a three-course prix fixe brunch menu for $45.

Pene Pachamama: For a different type of brunch, Pene Pachamama, a Bolivian and organic tapas-style restaurant in North Beach is offering brunch along with the music of Cuban Fito Reinoso, Bolivian Eddy Navia and the Pachamama Band.

Chaya Brasserie: Offering a three-course, multiple-option brunch for $38 with one free mimosa, $48 with bottomless mimosas. $15 for kids 12 and under.

This is just a small taste of what restaurants around the Bay Area are offering for Mother’s Day. It is one of the most difficult days to grab a reservation, so if you haven’t already, do so as soon as possible.
