I’ve been following this Brooklyn duo since their debut in 2006 — Paul Hammer and Deidre Muro were separate fixtures on the downtown singer/songwriter scene, often collaborating on gigs and hanging out at each other’s shows, until they decided to Power Rangers it and join forces to create the decidedly un-singer/songwriter-like Savoir Adore.Savoir AdoreThey spent 48 hours at Hammer’s upstate New York home studio recording their debut EP “The Adventures of Mr. Pumpernickel and the Girl With Animals In Her Throat,” before following it up with the 14-track concept album In The Wooded Forest.
