Marcia Gagliardi, better known to many as the Tablehopper, celebrated her fifth anniversary of dishing out the latest and greatest in Bay Area food news this week with some news of her own.

She announced in her latest weekly newsletter the launch of a new forum called Deep Dishing, focusing on Bay Area restaurants, bars, bakeries and pretty much the entire food scene. The main difference: the forum is based on only the positives, as users can share what to order, what’s good and why you’d want to return to a certain restaurant.

Users can also share “trade secrets,” like those “secret” off the menu items and when the best time to visit a restaurant might be.

Deep Dishing also allows the community to share pictures, vote and comment on dishes, share tips and even ask questions, which can hopefully be answered by fellow diners.

Although the site is starting locally, Ms. Tablehopper said she hopes it will expand in the near future.
